SUNAT replaces the desktop PEI (regulated by Superintendency Resolution No. 159-2017/SUNAT) with PEI-WEB, an online program within SUNAT Online Operations that allows users to upload files, validates file structure and data, generates an acknowledgment of receipt, and provides traceability (tracking of substitute/amended submissions and taxpayer inquiries).
PEI-WEB must be used to submit:
- The Summary of Printed Payment Vouchers.
- The Summary of Purchase Settlement Vouchers.
- The Summary of Authorized Documents.
- Others
Operationally, the submission is made using the RUC + username + SOL Password; the system generates a ticket number and classifies the process (pending / in process / processed with or without inconsistencies), issuing an acknowledgment of receipt or an error report, as applicable. Multiple files may be submitted per day, and any change is made through a new summary, treated as a substitute or amended submission, depending on the applicable deadline.
