SUPREME DECREE No. 035-2026-RE – RATIFICATION OF THE PROTOCOL TO UPGRADE THE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF PERU AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

On November 14, 2024, the Government of the Republic of Peru and the Government of the People’s Republic of China signed the Protocol to Upgrade the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, with the aim of updating and enhancing the provisions of the existing trade agreement.

In this regard, considering its incorporation into Peru’s domestic legal framework to be in the country’s best interests, its ratification was approved by means of a Supreme Decree.

Accordingly, Supreme Decree No. 035-2026-RE ratifies the Protocol to Upgrade the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Peru and the Government of the People’s Republic of China, provides for its full publication together with its date of entry into force, and orders that notice of such ratification be given to the Congress of the Republic.
