SUPREME DECREE No. 118-2022-PCM

The State of Emergency is extended due to the impacts of COVID-19

 

The referenced regulation extends the State of Emergency for thirty-one (31) calendar days, starting October 1, 2022. It also provides that the use of face masks will be mandatory only in healthcare facilities, public transport service vehicles, enclosed establishments without ventilation, and for all persons who show respiratory symptoms.

It should be noted that offenders who have not paid their fines for failing to comply with the rules during the State of Emergency are barred from carrying out any procedure before any State entity. Without prejudice to the foregoing, people who receive a State subsidy through social programs will continue to receive such support.

The regulation will enter into force on October 1, 2022.
