Supreme Decree No. 007-2026-MINCETUR – PROVIDES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF PERU AND THE REPUBLIC OF GUATEMALA, AND THE PROTOCOL TO THE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF PERU AND THE REPUBLIC OF GUATEMALA.

The “Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Peru and the Republic of Guatemala” was signed on 06.12.2011 in Guatemala City, while the “Protocol to the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Peru and the Republic of Guatemala” was signed on 23.04.2025 in the city of Lima. The regulation states that both instruments are beneficial to Peru’s interests and further specifies that the decree is excluded from the scope of the Ex Ante Regulatory Impact Assessment, in accordance with the Regulations of Legislative Decree No. 1565.

Through this Supreme Decree, the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Peru and the Republic of Guatemala, as well as the Protocol to the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Peru and the Republic of Guatemala, are implemented as of July 1, 2026.
