Non-working days are declared for public sector workers nationwide, and optional for the private sector
The regulation referenced declares the following dates as non-working days for public sector workers nationwide: May 2; June 24; August 29; and October 31; as well as December 26 and 30, 2022. Likewise, it establishes that for tax purposes, those days will be considered business days.
This arrangement is optional for private-sector workplaces and would be subject to making up the hours not worked, subject to prior agreement between the employer and the employees.
