SUPREME DECREE No. 063-2022

PCM – New measures are established to restore social life

The referenced regulation establishes the mandatory use of face masks when moving through public-use roads and in enclosed places. In departments that have 80% vaccination coverage of (i) people aged 60 and over with three doses, and (ii) people aged 12 and over with two doses, the use of face masks in open spaces is optional.

Likewise, residents over 18 years of age who seek to enter shopping centers or other venues must present their physical or digital vaccination card proving they have received, in Peru or abroad, the three (3) vaccine doses. People who perform in-person work must prove they have received the three (3) doses; if they have not received all three, they must provide services under the remote work modality. When the nature of the work is not compatible with remote work, it will be understood that the conditions for suspension of the employment contract without pay have been met, in accordance with the first paragraph of Article 11 and item (ll) of Article 12 of the Consolidated Text (Texto Único Ordenado) of Legislative Decree No. 728 (Labor Productivity and Competitiveness Law), approved by Supreme Decree No. 003-97-TR, unless the parties agree to an imperfect suspension of the employment relationship.
