LAW No. 31572

Telework Law

The referenced regulation aims to regulate the special modality for providing services through telework, both in public administration entities and in institutions and private companies.

It should be noted that, among the teleworker’s obligations, they must be available, deliver, and report on the work assigned by the employer during their working hours, as well as comply with all provisions issued by the employer for the development of telework. On the other hand, among the employer’s obligations, they must provide the equipment and assume the cost of internet access and electricity as compensation when the worker bears those expenses. Likewise, it is established that this modality for providing services must be agreed upon in the respective contract or addendum between the employer and the worker.

Finally, it is specified that public entities, institutions, and private companies must adapt to the provisions of the regulation within a maximum period of sixty (60) calendar days.
