Publication ordered of the draft resolution approving the specific procedure “Importation of goods subject to the Amending Protocol to the Peru–Colombia Customs Cooperation Agreement” DESPA-PE.01.13 (Version 3), together with its statement of reasons, on SUNAT’s digital site

Through Superintendency Resolution No. 000106-2021/SUNAT, the specific procedure “Importation of goods subject to the Amending Protocol to the Peru–Colombia Customs Cooperation Agreement” DESPA-PE.01.13 (Version 2) was approved. This procedure regulates the customs clearance of goods destined for the import-for-consumption regime that benefit from the Amending Protocol to the Peru–Colombia Customs Cooperation Agreement.

By Supreme Decree No. 198-2024-EF, the Regulations of the General Customs Law were amended in order to adapt them to the operation of the Chancay Multipurpose Port Terminal, to include the Port of Chancay as an authorized point for the indirect entry of goods into the zone established under the Agreement, and to establish that, in such case, the submission of a bank or financial guarantee letter securing payment of import taxes on goods destined for consumption in that zone is carried out before the Chancay Customs Intendancy.

Accordingly, by means of this Resolution, the publication is ordered of the draft Superintendency Resolution approving the specific procedure “Importation of goods subject to the Amending Protocol to the Peru–Colombia Customs Cooperation Agreement” DESPA-PE.01.13 (Version 3), so that, within 15 calendar days starting on the calendar day following its publication, comments, contributions, or opinions may be received from operators and the general public.
