THE GENERAL PROCEDURE \u201cAUTHORIZED ECONOMIC OPERATOR CERTIFICATION\u201d DESPA-PG.29 (VERSION 4) IS APPROVED<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through Superintendency Resolution No. 000061-2022\/SUNAT, the general procedure \u201cAuthorized Economic Operator Certification\u201d DESPA-PG.29 (version 3) was approved, which sets out the guidelines and requirements for obtaining and maintaining the certification as an Authorized Economic Operator (hereinafter, AEO), as well as the facilitations it grants. Likewise, it develops the procedure for suspension, cancellation, and extension of the certification.<\/p>\n

In this regard, in order to align the measures required of AEOs by SUNAT\u2019s Authorized Economic Operator Program with the C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) Program, in compliance with the provisions of the Mutual Recognition Agreement signed with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security\u2019s Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a new version of the procedure is required in order to ensure the security of the international supply chain against illegal activities.<\/p>\n

Likewise, with the aim of achieving improvements in predictability and clarity for taxpayers\/regulated parties, and in the customs administration\u2019s actions for evaluating the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), it is necessary to update the procedure to a new version.<\/p>\n
