ZOOSANITARY REQUIREMENTS ARE APPROVED FOR THE IMPORTATION OF PREPARATIONS AND PRESERVED MEAT PRODUCTS (EXCEPT PRIMARY-PROCESSED PRODUCTS), OFFAL OR BLOOD OF BOVINE SPECIES, INCLUDING THOSE CONTAINING ADDITIVES (EXCEPT CANNED PRODUCTS), ORIGINATING IN THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through Report No. D000064-2025-MIDAGRI-SENASA-DSA-SDCA, the Animal Quarantine Subdirectorate of the Animal Health Directorate of the National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA) evaluated the proposal submitted by the sanitary authority of the Argentine Republic regarding the zoosanitary requirements applicable to the importation of preparations and preserved bovine meat products, offal, or blood.<\/p>\n

It should also be noted that the report concluded that, following a sanitary harmonization process between both authorities, compliance with Peru\u2019s requirements was verified, and the approval and publication of the relevant requirements were recommended.<\/p>\n

In accordance with Andean Community provisions and domestic regulations, imports from third countries must not result in a level of protection lower than that established under community and national rules. Accordingly, the National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA) is the authority responsible for issuing phytosanitary and zoosanitary measures to prevent the entry and spread of diseases that may affect animal and public health.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, it is provided that imported products must be accompanied by a zoosanitary certificate issued by the official authority of the country of origin, certifying compliance with conditions relating to the origin of the animals, their health status, slaughtering and deboning processes, as well as transport and control conditions; as a consequence of non-compliance with these requirements, the goods will be returned to the country of origin.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, by Directoral Resolution No. D000013-2026-MIDAGRI-SENASA-DSA, the zoosanitary requirements are approved for the importation of preparations and preserved products (except primary-processed products), offal, or blood of bovine species, including those containing additives (except canned products), originating in the Argentine Republic, as detailed in the Annex forming an integral part of the aforementioned Directoral Resolution.<\/p>\n

Lastly, the products must be accompanied by a zoosanitary certificate issued by the Argentine Republic certifying compliance with the requirements set forth in the Annex to the aforementioned Resolution; some of these requirements are outlined below:<\/p>\n
