D000020-2026-MIDAGRI-SENASA-DSA APPROVES SANITARY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE IMPORTATION OF SPECIFIC PATHOGEN-FREE (SPF) EGGS FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The General Agrarian Health Law, approved by Legislative Decree No. 1059, establishes that the National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA) is responsible for adopting the necessary sanitary measures to prevent the entry and spread of diseases that may affect animal health and national agrarian health. Likewise, current Andean and national regulations provide that products and goods of animal origin entering the country must comply with the sanitary requirements established by the competent authority, in order to ensure an adequate level of sanitary protection.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the Animal Quarantine Subdirectorate of SENASA\u2019s Animal Health Directorate coordinated with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine of the Republic of Ireland to harmonize the sanitary requirements applicable to the importation of specific pathogen-free (SPF) eggs from that country, taking into account the sanitary conditions of origin and the control mechanisms required to minimize zoosanitary risks.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, through Directorial Resolution No. D000020-2026-MIDAGRI-SENASA-DSA, the sanitary requirements for the importation of specific pathogen-free (SPF) eggs from the Republic of Ireland were approved.
