Through Resolution No. 205-2022\/CDB-INDECOPI, the antidumping duties applicable to imports of all types of footwear (except flip-flops and sandals) with uppers made of rubber, plastic, or natural leather, originating in the People\u2019s Republic of China, were maintained in force for a five-year period.<\/p>\n
As the expiration of these measures approached, the Leather, Footwear and Related Products Corporation, together with several domestic companies, requested the initiation of an expiry review proceeding (sunset review<\/em>), in order to assess whether they should remain in force.<\/p>\n Therefore, INDECOPI\u2019s Commission on Dumping, Subsidies and Elimination of Non-Tariff Trade Barriers determined that the application met the requirements established under the WTO Anti-Dumping Agreement and the Anti-Dumping Regulations, finding that the removal of the duties could lead to the continuation or recurrence of both dumping and injury to the domestic industry.
